Deeside SUPathlon 

Sunday 9th June. 
After the success of the Spey SUPathlon in 2018, we have now added a Dee SUPathlon for 2019. A chance to be part of this inaugural event. 
Our event charity is Mental Health Aberdeen. 

The Venue - Potarch Bridge

The event HQ is at Potarch Bridge

The Potarch Cafe and Restaurant will be open from 10am, ideal for post race refreshments. 



Based at Potarch Bridge, the SUP is on the River Dee covering 2km up stream of Potarch. Transition and bike and run are in the grounds of Ballogie estate. 

SUP are provided. 


The Course 

The SUP is on the the river Dee, 2km of moving water including a few rapids. The off road bike (8km) is in the Ballogie woods and run (3km) is along the banks of the river Dee and Deeside way. MAPS coming soon.

There is a limit of 30 competitors.

Relays are welcome, please just enter as an individual.  


The Rules 

​The event is designed to be fun and informal, so we like to keep the rules to a minimum. However for the safety for all involved and to make the event as fair as possible we have a few basic rules.

Please note that the SUP will be on the river Dee, therefore you will be paddling in a moving water environment where kneeling down is acceptable. We will provide head, knee and elbow protection to reduce impact injuries from falling off the board. If you would like to discuss your SUP experience / ability before entering please get in touch
