Instructions

Many thanks for signing up for our Christmas paddle, raising money and awareness for Charlie House. We are looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday morning at Midmar Stillwater Fishery.

Please fond below some instructions for the event, hopefully you will have already seen most of this information in the confirmation email!

The Plan:

  • Arrive on site no earlier than 10am.

  • Pump up your board / get changed into your Santa / Christmas outfit.

  • 1040 Mandatory briefing and group photo

  • 1045 on water

  • 1230 (ish) all off the water.

  • Hot Chocolate and mince pies post paddle.

No one will be allowed afloat until after the briefing.

ALL participants going afloat must have / be wearing:

  • Their board!

  • Buoyancy Aid / PDF

  • Winter wetsuit or Dry Suit

  • Foot wear (trainers or wetsuit boots)

  • Leash.

  • Fancy Dress!!!

 

Location: 

Midmar Stillwater Fishery - head to their WEBSITE specific location. 

Car parking.

Please park considerately, follow any instructions given by volunteers. Please do NOT park on the grass.

 

Covid.

With the every changing landscape and trying to do our bit, so.....

  • we are asking people to complete a Lateral Flow before coming on Saturday.

  • If you are showing symptoms then please do not come!

  • There will be access to the toilet in the fishing hut, however the rest of the space is for Aquaplay Scotland staff and volunteers only.

  • As always, please keep socially distanced where possible
