Aquaplay Scotland is one the top outdoor activity providers in the Scottish Highlands. All of our instructors and leaders are highly experienced and qualified in the activities we provide and have a passion for the outdoors and the exciting and emotional experiences this environment offers.
| Jim Gibson, an experienced Level 4 Kayak and Level 2 Open Canoe Coach and former SCA Coach of the Year, runs Aquaplay Scotland. Jim has paddled and led groups in Austria, France, Slovenia, Turkey, Nepal and, of course, Scotland. He regularly runs Coach Training and Assessment and White Water Safety and Rescue courses for the British Canoe Union under the remit of UKCC. Jim can't get enough of working and playing in the natural environments of lochs, coast and rivers and enjoys introducing newcomers to these in a safe yet adventurous way. |

| Matthew Hilton moved to Moray and became a Volunteer Expedition Leader with the DoE scheme, confirming his desire to help others discover their own love for outdoor pursuits. Based in Nairn, he is a Level 1 Kayak and Canoe Coach, attended the Foundation Safety and Rescue Training, White Water Safety and Rescue and 4* Wild Water Kayak Leader Training and is currently working to attain his Summer Mountain Leader qualification. Whilst water and the Scottish wilderness remains his first love, he has developed a passion for mountain biking, qualifying as a Trail Cycle Leader. With over 20 years of outdoors experience, Matthew enjoys supporting you in your own adventure, whether it's land or water based. |

| Jonathan Basan
is an experienced level 3 Inland Kayak coach, a 4* leader and is White Water Safety and Rescue trained. He has been involved in the development of Aquaplay Scotland from the start. He works with Youth Justice and has also been a part of the many incident management scenario training sessions we have developed as a market leader in this area. Jonathan is a fluent Turkish speaker and award winning photographer. He loves to be in the sea where you can often find him playing in the waves along our local coast line. |

| Callum Reid, is (by far) the youngest member of the team! A qualified Level 1 Kayak and Canoe coach he is to shortly complete his 3* White Water Kayak Award, whilst also working towards becoming a Level 2 Coach. With a passion for mountain biking he also holds the Trail Cycle Leader Award. Callum also studied towards a HNC in Adventure Tourism and Outdoor Pursuits. While he enjoys introducing people to all the activities that Aquaplay Scotland has to offer his interests also lie in a variety of outdoor activities with a triathlon being his latest challenge. |
