Slovenia Summer 2012

A paddling holiday opportunity of a lifetime!!

We are setting up base with apartment accommodation in Bovec, Slovenia minutes away from the incredible and beautiful Soca River.

In addition to amazing paddling sites, this little town offers many pubs, restaurants, a wide variety of accommodation and entertainment to enjoy throughout your stay out here. There are many walks in the area, take a cable car trip towards the top of the Julian Alps and mountain bikes can be hired in the town.

This clear aqua blue water river has something for everyone.  It has flat calm water areas, gentle flowing sections, little rapid sections and then develops into an exciting grade 2-5 adventure over a number of different sections through a series of gorges.  Access is easy and the shuttles can be run by cycle.

Paddling in shorts and shortie cags in temperatures in the 20’s what better way is there to learn and develop our kayaking skills!

We are looking to provide introductory to kayaking courses, BCU 2 to 4 star training and assessment and White Water Safety and Rescue training courses over the month of July 2012. 

You will be collected from and returned to the airport in Ljubljana and boats can be either taken out in our van or hired from the local kayak shop.

It is anticipated that the courses will fill a weeks paddling however this is open and will be adapted to suit the group’s requirements.

A group leader ratio of a maximum of 1 to 4 will be utilised.
