Fun/Inflatable Kayaking
Thrills and spills to excite you or a gentle paddle, whichever you'd prefer is fine by us as we just want you to have fun on the water whether you're aged 8 or 80.
Our kayaks are of two designs:
- Design 1 for paddling all grades of water up to grade 5
- Design 2 for paddling more gentle water but even these have been used up to grade 4 in expert hands.
The second design sits higher in the water which means you are kept drier than when using the first design kayak. Both styles are great fun to paddle and provide novices and less skilled people with the opportunity to safely paddle grades of water which would not be possible in a traditional enclosed cockpit kayak with spray deck.
The many challenges of this activity include team working, safely descending the river, choosing good lines, playing on the many waves you encounter, perhaps looking at safe swimming methods and generally having lots of fun whilst enjoying the wonderful scenery and wildlife on the quieter slower moving sections of water. We use the local Speyside Rivers, lochs and ponds for this activity, using the appropriate site in order to meet the aims of the session.
